Freelance writer for Albert.io since 2017. I have Lead Author status in Anatomy & Physiology and Middle School Core Science. I have also written for several other subject areas.
If you ask me what I love most about teaching, it's the ability to design, create, implement, and improve new curriculum materials. I used to be embarrassed by that answer (because the answer should be "the kids," right?), but now I take pride in it. Everyone has their own strengths, and this is where I shine and feel the most alive. It has led me to this very place!
I feel most passionate and in flow when I'm creating content,
teaching workshops to other teachers,
and I love knowing that my work is having an impact in classrooms across the nation.

Outside of education, I am many things. I live on a hobby farm in Wisconsin with my husband. We have a dog, two outdoor cats, three goats, and many houseplants (I have a *slight* obsession). I have a successful art business (Autumn Phoenix Designs), am a certified yoga teacher, and am addicted to cold brew coffee and potato chips.
